We’ve been testing Granola on Windows with a small group of testers, and we’re now opening up early access more widely. However, you might still run into some bugs or issues. We’ve got a few that we know about and are actively working to fix (see below!) - but if you encounter any issues that aren’t listed here, get in touch at hey@granola.so.
We’ve had a handful of reports from existing beta users that some antivirus providers (including BitDefender) are incorrectly flagging Granola on Windows. We’re in contact with these providers to address these false-positive reports.
We’re investigating some reports of audio not being captured and transcribed (i.e. no transcription appearing in the transcription box, or only seeing a spinning wheel rather than dancing bars.If you hit this, please let us know so we can investigate: email us at hey@granola.so, with the title, date and time of the meeting note you had an issue with.
On Granola for macOS, we run extra audio processing to ensure that speaker output from your computer isn’t picked up on your microphone - this is to make sure that we accurately distinguish between your voice and call output on our transcript. We haven’t added this to our Windows versions yet, so if you’re using speakers you may see some duplication in transcripts as your speaker volume will be picked up by your microphone. This shouldn’t be an issue if you’re using headphones, and it also shouldn’t affect your meeting summaries as our AI will ignore any duplicated transcripts.
