SOC2 is an auditing standard that tests for strong security controls
It demonstrates to a company's customers and partners that they take data security seriously and follow industry best practices. To get SOC2 compliance, an independent auditor checks that a company has proper safeguards in place to protect sensitive information - things like strong passwords, secure data storage, backup systems and secure technical infrastructure.
