For Christophe Coutzoukis, Principal Designer at Zapier, attending 30+ Zoom meetings every week isn’t just a reality of remote work. It’s how he gathers the context needed to improve the company’s front end and be a better leader for its Design System Team.

But turning those daily conversations into actionable notes was a manual slog that only got harder with every additional 1:1 and cross-functional meeting he took. “I found myself wondering whether I was actually hearing what each participant was saying or just writing it all down,” Christophe shares. “With so many people taking individual notes, we also lacked a source of truth for meeting insights.”

While Christophe and his team tested several AI transcription tools to centralize and automate the note-taking process, every option fell short. On top of being clunky, these tools — which all had to be added to meetings as external participants — often felt invasive. “It’s hard to have an organic conversation when your AI note-taker is constantly announcing its presence,” he explains.

Everything changed after Christophe’s first week using Granola.

Because Granola works seamlessly with Zoom, onboarding was quick and painless. Christophe now receives a desktop notification whenever a meeting is about to start. Once he clicks, Zoom and Granola’s AI Notepad open simultaneously, without requiring him to admit any awkward bots.
